Node.js Foundation Board of Directors

Hey! I’m Tejas Manohar, and I’m running for a seat on the Node.js Foundation Board of Directors. Why I’d be a good fit:
- I’m active in the open-source community. My GitHub handle is tejasmanohar. I help maintain various open-source projects both in and out of the Node.js world, most notably Node Schedule and Koa.js.
- I make an active effort to train others in the community, whether that’s via IRC, writing tutorials, mentoring coding clubs at local high schools, organizing student hackathons, tweeting resources, presenting at local meetups, or just helping out friends. I believe that knowledge should be open and free and do my best to incorporate this into all walks of life.
- Not only do I advocate the Node.js platform in independent environments but also corporate— I built and led a full-stack Node.js engineering team at AutoLotto with a track record for open-source and am moving on to join the team at Segment, where JavaScript is also used extensively across the stack at high scale and open-source is at its core.
I see a lot of potential in the Node.js community and would be honored to represent its individual members. Thanks for your consideration.
